I was really impressed by the appearance of Shark HV382 and 381. The design looks strong and kind of “manly”, unlike many models which seem fragile. Each unit comes with different color scheme to distinguish. While Shark HV382 has charcoal gray, the HV381 is a combination of blue and grey. Sometimes, color is a key factor in buying process of modern customers who now appreciate cool design in the same level of cleaning capability. In addition, the power cord length is about 30 feet (~9.1 m), which is enough for you to reach the ceiling or difficult places such as under the bed.
Shark HV382 and HV381 are both extremely light units. In the upright/stick mode, they weigh just about 4.5 kg. If you turn them into handheld vacuums, the weight is approximately 1.6 kg. There won’t be any problem carrying them around. With the lightweight and upright design, Shark HV382 vs HV381 are perfect for those who have back pain as they don’t have to bend over many times or lift up in order to clean above ground areas.
